On August 13, 2008, USAID's Microenterprise Development office held its twenty-fourth Microfinance After Hours Seminar, on the topic of "Tools for Measuring the Social Performance of MFIs". Gary Woller shared his latest research and work in developing social performance measurement tools. He also discussed the integration of social indicators into social ratings, social audits, and environmental and social reporting systems.

Speaker Bio:

Gary Woller is President of Woller & Associates, an international development consulting firm specializing in microfinance; micro-, small, and medium enterprise development; value chain development; impact assessment; monitoring and evaluation; and public policy analysis.  Dr. Woller has published numerous articles on development and microfinance.  He is currently the facilitator of the SEEP Network’s Social Performance Working Group, Project Manager of the Private Sector Development Impact Assessment Initiative, and Research Director of the USAID social performance initiative under AMAP.
