Access an online training?

Microlinks has a growing library of online training modules that are interactive and self-paced. You can access these from the Resources tab by clicking on the Training link. To access the course, even for those with open enrollment, you must be both a Microlinks member and a member of the particular training course. By joining the training course, you can gain access to the module, track your progress and post questions and comments in the related discussion space.

If you have an authenticated Microlinks account:
Click on the "Log in to access course >" button from the training course landing page. A window will pop up asking you to either log in with an existing account or to register. Enter your Microlinks account information in the KDID log-in screen.

Create an account

After signing in, you will be redirected back to the training landing page. The blue button should now read "Access this course >". Once you click on it and confirmed that you want to join the training, a new "Launch Course" button should appear near the top of the text. When you launch the course, the module should open in a new pop-up window.

Have a KDID account, but still can't get access:
If you have a KDID account and are a member of one of the other KDID family websites, like Agrilinks, you may still need to add Microlinks membership to your profile if you haven’t done so yet. To check that you are a Microlinks member, visit your KDID profile account settings by logging in on KDID:
Log in to your KDID account

After you enter your user name and password, you will be redirected to the KDID homepage. From there, you will be able to click on your profile menu at the top of the screen to access your Account Settings.

Once in your Profile, click on the “Account and Privacy Settings” tab and select the checkbox next to “Microlinks,” then click save.

After you have added Microlinks to your site memberships, you can return to the course landing page and click on the blue “Access this course >” button on the right-hand side.

Troubleshooting
If you are unable to launch the training course, please try the following:

  • Microlinks member? Verify that you are logged into Microlinks with an account that you have previously verified by clicking on the authentication link emailed to you during the registration process.
  • Training course member? Confirm that you are a member of the training course. If you are, you should see a block on the top right side of the page with icons for Home, Q&A, Resources, and Directory.
  • Agrilinks member? If you have a KDID account and are a member of one of the other KDID family websites, like Agrilinks, you may still need to add Microlinks membership to your profile if you haven’t done so yet. See the steps to do so here »
  • Browser? Both Microlinks and the training course modules are optimized for viewing in the Mozilla Firefox web browser and using Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Safari can sometimes cause problems when launching the course. We are working to solve this problem, but in the meantime, try using Firefox.
  • Internet speed? Due to the size of the training courses, it may help to plug into a landline rather than using a wireless internet connection if you have the option.
  • Clear your cache? We recently updated many of the training modules, so if you have previously launched the course but are now having trouble, you many need to clear your cache. In Firefox, you can do this by clicking on Tools > Options > Advanced > Network and clicking “Clear Now” under the Cached Web Content section.
If none of these solutions work, please email us .
